Bryan Rainey has a long history of work experience. In 2020, they became the Founder and CEO of Topic Flip. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Owner of Junkluggers of Charlotte, where they were responsible for creating a unique brand voice, leading a staff of 8, and managing all marketing efforts both digitally and organically. From 1997 to 2016, they were the Principal of ComplianceLine, where they were instrumental in building a compliance call center from scratch to servicing over 1,000 clients across the globe. Bryan was also responsible for drafting and maintaining budgets, overseeing accounting staff, and monitoring all finances. From 1996 to 1997, they were a Programmer at Compuware, where they managed the version control and integrity of all programming code migrated to 900 call center computers located in Tampa, Richmond and Atlanta. Bryan also developed an application used by First Union Corporation, Charlotte NC, to track and report $32 million in bonus payouts to relationship managers. From 1992 to 1996, they were a Programmer at Pinkerton Service Group, where they developed an application for a 24 hour-a-day call center used to gather compliance related information, from approximately 3.5 million employees across multiple companies, in accordance with Federal Sentencing Guidelines for business conduct.

Bryan Rainey began their educational journey in 1992 at Gaston College, where they studied Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic). Bryan then attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies. Finally, they attended Pfeiffer University from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Computer Science.
