Vestibular testing is ideal for a multitude of patients types with particular risk factors. Patients with a history of vertigo or anyone who exhibits signs/symptoms of dizziness, balance issues, gait problems, hearing concerns or anyone that has a history of falling are considered ideal patients for testing. According to John’s Hopkins, 1/3 of Americans over 40 have vestibular disorders. Those statistics increase to 1/2 once a patient reaches the age of 60. In 2014, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services spent an estimated $34 Billion on fall related incidents.
