Igor Karataev

Igor Karataev is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in backend development and test automation. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer and Senior QA Automation Engineer at Toptal since February 2017, Igor is involved in backend development and test automation for the company's platform, utilizing a diverse range of tools and technologies including Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. Previously, Igor held leadership roles in test automation at Datanyze Inc. and RadiumOne, where responsibilities included developing test automation frameworks. Additional experience includes managing QA departments at Zodiac Interactive and senior roles at ARRIS and Motorola Mobility, focusing on automated testing, configuration management, and embedded software development. Igor holds a Master’s degree in Radiocommunication, Broadcasting & TV from St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications.
