Vitor Arimitsu

Vitor Arimitsu is a seasoned senior backend engineer with extensive experience in developing systems and tools primarily using Ruby on Rails. Currently freelancing at Toptal since July 2013, Vitor has played pivotal roles in internal tool development and led the backend architecture for a budgeting and expense tracking platform. Previous positions include senior backend engineer at Paywith USA, where Vitor focused on mobile wallet platforms, and lead backend engineer at MediaZilla, where Vitor overhauled the Ruby on Rails backend to enhance platform reliability. Vitor has also held leadership roles at Sterling Capital Brokers Ltd., mentoring a team in healthcare management platform development, and served as a backend engineer at Wonderbly and several other companies, where contributions included marketplace development and REST API creation.
