Michael Freeman is a seasoned theater director and choreographer with extensive experience in various artistic roles. Since June 2012, Michael has led projects at New Dance Alliance. In previous positions, Michael served as an assistant editor for 'The Metropolitan Review' at State University of New York Empire State College from February 2013 to June 2014 and contributed as a teaching artist at Total Theater Lab from September 2009 to July 2011, specifically focusing on movement techniques for actors. Additionally, Michael gained valuable experience as an assistant choreographer at Mettawee River Theatre Company from October 2002 to September 2005, collaborating with puppeteer Ralph Lee. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies Theater/Creative Writing from Empire State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting at Maharishi International University, following earlier studies resulting in a dance certificate from the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance.
