Torch and Maple is a Canadian civic initiative dedicated to advancing political literacy, promoting pluralism, and equipping the next generation of Canadians with the tools they need to engage meaningfully with their democracy.

We believe that civic engagement is not a partisan act but a patriotic one. At a time when political discourse has become increasingly polarized and inaccessible, Torch and Maple exists to cut through the noise and connect young Canadians to the institutions, debates, and decisions that shape their lives.

Our work spans civic education, accessible political analysis, and the elevation of young Canadian voices across the political spectrum. We build interactive civic tools, publish plain language breakdowns of legislation and policy, and create space for thoughtful conversation about what it means to be Canadian in the 21st century.

We are rooted in the values that have defined Canada's democratic tradition: pluralism, inclusion, the rule of law, and a patriotism that belongs to every Canadian regardless of background, language, or political persuasion. We believe a more informed generation is the strongest foundation this country has, and that civic literacy is not a luxury but a democratic necessity.
Torch and Maple is built for the Canadians who love this country and want to understand it more deeply, who are frustrated by cynicism and division, and who believe that genuine engagement with democracy is still worth fighting for.
Canada's promise, Carried forward.
