Principal Designer - Sitework Engineering Construction at Toro

Phil S. has a diverse work experience in the engineering and design field. Phil started their career as a Structures Designer at Adam Aircraft in 2005, where they were responsible for designing composite components and creating static test article drawings. From 2006 to 2009, Phil worked as an Airframe Designer at Cirrus Aircraft Company, specializing in composite airframe designs and directing support personnel. Phil then joined Crenlo, LLC as a Contract Designer, where they designed plastic and sheet metal components for new developments and identified opportunities for process improvements.

In 2011, Phil joined Polaris Industries as a Contract Designer, focusing on designing components for engine intake and exhaust systems on Ranger side-by-side vehicles. Phil also served as a Senior Layout Designer for the RZR line of vehicles, managing design workflow and supporting production builds. Phil's role at Polaris Industries ended in 2017 when they transitioned to Imperial Plastics, Inc as a Project Engineer, working on various projects until 2018.

Since 2018, Phil has been employed at The Toro Company, where they initially worked as a Senior Designer for Sitework Engineering Rental products. Phil currently holds the position of Principal Designer for Sitework Engineering Construction.

Throughout their career, Phil has demonstrated their expertise in design, project management, and problem-solving. Their work experience spans multiple industries, including aviation, automotive, and construction equipment.

Phil S. has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Engineering from Bemidji State University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2005, they studied Mechanical Design Technology at St. Cloud Technical College. Their education journey began at Central Lakes College, where they earned an Associate of Arts Degree between 2000 and 2003. Additionally, in September 2014, Phil obtained a certification in Creativity, Innovation, and Change from Coursera Verified Certificates.
