Brian Topp

Brian Topp is a partner at gt&co and the chair of the Toronto Hydro board of directors. They also chair the Broadbent Institute's board, are a Fellow at the Public Policy Forum, and serve as an Adjunct Professor at the Max Bell School of Public Policy. Their leadership experience includes serving as Executive Director & CEO of ACTRA Toronto from 2001 to 2013, and as National Campaign Director for the New Democratic Party's federal campaigns (2005–2008). They previously held senior government and public policy roles, including Director of Research for Saskatchewan's Department of Executive Council and Deputy Chief of Staff there. They earned an Arts, History and Political Science degree from McGill University (1979–1983) and completed CEGEP in Social Sciences at Champlain Regional College (1977–1979).
