Stuart Preston

Stuart Preston, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Treasurer at Toronto Hydro since December 2017. Previously, Stuart held the position of Director, Finance & Liquidity on a contract basis at Ontario Power Generation, where responsibilities included implementing the corporation's public debt program. As Vice President of Asset Based Lending at RBC from 2014 to 2016, Stuart focused on business development and deal structuring in Western Canada. Earlier roles include Treasurer at UFA Co-operative Ltd, where management of liquidity and compliance reporting was essential, and Assistant Treasurer at Ontario Power Generation, negotiating significant credit facilities. Stuart's career began at Molson Coors Canada, where extensive experience was gained in financing corporate purposes, including managing the refinancing for the Molson/Coors merger. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University and is a member of the CFA Institute.
