Gary Mather is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in database management and UNIX environments. Currently serving as the Director of Database & Systems at Torrid since May 2012, Gary manages database and UNIX environments, providing support for multiple relational database and application setups. Previously, Gary held the position of Database/UNIX Manager, overseeing a DBA/UNIX team and performing routine DBA activities with a focus on Exadata both on-premise and in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Prior roles include Database Manager at Hot Topic, Senior Oracle Database Administrator at Watson Pharmaceuticals, Callaway Golf, and Target Corporation, as well as Technical Consultant at Interim Technology. Gary holds a degree from Cape Technikon, obtained between 1987 and 1992.
