Rob Thummel

Rob Thummel is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in managing investment portfolios. Currently serving as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Tortoise since July 2004, Rob oversees $8 billion in publicly traded securities focused on energy, infrastructure, and income, while co-managing multiple mutual and closed-end funds, along with separately managed accounts for institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals. Prior to Tortoise, Rob held the position of Director of Finance at KLT Inc., a subsidiary of Evergy, from July 1998 to July 2004, and worked as an Audit Senior at Ernst & Young from 1995 to 1998. Rob holds an MBA from the University of Kansas, earned between 2000 and 2002, and a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, completed in 1995.
