Ryan Kastner

Dr. Ryan Kastner has over 10 years of experience in the realm of hardware security. Most notably, he has served as principal investigator on numerous hardware security related government and industrial grants totaling over $300 million. Among them include the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps award, which focuses on commercializing technology from academia. Currently, Dr. Kastner is a professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at UC San Diego, where he focuses on computer system design with an emphasis on critical and real-time applications. Dr. Kastner holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and received an M.S. in engineering and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University.
