Varpu Rapeli is a knitwear designer with extensive experience in the fashion industry, having worked with notable brands such as Tory Burch, DION LEE, and Rachel Comey. They earned a BA in Fashion and Clothing Design from Lahti University of Applied Sciences and completed an MFA in Fashion Design and Society at Parsons School of Design. Varpu has also served as a freelance knitwear consultant for clients including Wales Bonner and Coach from 2016 to 2023. Currently, Varpu is pursuing a Master's degree in Sociology at The New School while holding the position of Senior Designer for Sweaters at Tory Burch.
