Tostan Canada is a Canadian registered charity that was created to rally Canadian support for the work of Tostan International, an African NGO.  Tostan’s mission is to empower communities in West Africa to develop and achieve their vision for the future and inspire large-scale movements leading to #DignityForAll. 

#Tostan means "breakthrough" in the West African language of Wolof. 
For over 30 years, Tostan’s holistic model for community-led change has been implemented in thousands of communities, 22 languages across eight African countries, and is also shared internationally with hundreds of activists and practitioners through their training seminars.
