Bill Carson joined Touchdown in 2021 as a venture partner after being in the startup world for 25 years as both a VC investor and operating executive. Bill spent the last 18 years at Hudson Ventures, an early-stage technology fund investing in B2B companies. He has held CFO and other financial positions in multiple early-stage companies over the last 10 years and is currently VP of Finance at Princeton Infrared Technologies.
Bill is an independent investment committee member and advisor for Vitalize VC and is both an advisor and board member to multiple startup companies.
Bill began his investment career at Citigroup where he co-founded and ran two venture portfolios including Citigroup’s initial strategic corporate venture fund. While at Citigroup, he invested in 27 companies totaling over $230 million. Prior to his investing career, Bill led Citigroup’s internal merger and acquisition group where he completed numerous mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and IPOs across all of Citigroup’s divisions. Earlier in his career, Bill was a senior product engineer for IBM.
