Eric Budin

Managing Director at Touchdown Ventures

Eric Budin joined Touchdown Ventures in 2016 and is responsible for managing multiple funds as well as running Touchdown’s analyst program.

Eric spent the previous 13 years as an executive at Comcast and Liberty Global, the largest cable companies in the US and Europe, respectively. At both companies, his focus was innovation and new business opportunities. At Comcast, he was VP of Business Development and helped launch Xfinity Home, their next-gen home security business. He also led the company’s efforts in the SVOD, advertising, and video conferencing spaces and worked closely with Comcast Ventures to identify and invest in VC-backed partners. While living in Amsterdam, he was Liberty Global’s VP of Product Strategy and Incubation and helped launch their advanced advertising business.

Prior to Comcast, Eric worked in Silicon Valley for venture-backed companies, including more.com which he co-founded. More.com was a top 10 e-commerce company and had filed to go public in 2000, before being sold. More.com was Eric’s first taste of corporate venturing, as more.com backers included Bergen Brunswig and Phar-mor. Earlier in his career, Eric worked for McKinsey & Co.
