Chris Ragbir

Chris Ragbir has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Chris worked at Touchlight Genetics Ltd from September 2016 to present, first as a Manufacturing Scientist and later as the dbDNA Production Manager. Prior to that, they worked at LGC - Genomics Division from October 2012 to September 2016 as a Senior Reagent Manufacturing Technician. Chris also worked briefly at British American Tobacco in July 2012 as an R&D Laboratory Technician. Before that, they were employed at Pall Life Sciences from May 2011 to April 2012 as an R&D Laboratory Technician, where they were responsible for validation testing and data analysis. In addition, Chris worked as a Team Manager in Development / Operations Supervisor at The Listening Company from May 2009 to April 2011, and as a Service Professional from February 2006 to June 2007 at the same company. Chris also has previous experience as a Clerk at San Fernando General Hospital from 2000 to 2002, and as an Enumerator and Field Editor at Central Statistical Office, Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development in 2000.

Chris Ragbir completed their education in a variety of fields. Chris earned a Master of Science degree in Instrumental Analytical Sciences with a focus on DNA Analysis, Proteomics, and Metabolomics from Robert Gordon University in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Forensic Biology and Biomolecular Science from the University of Portsmouth from 2002 to 2005. In 2001, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with Forensic Analysis at Loughborough University. In their secondary education, Chris attended Pleasantville Senior Comprehensive from 1996 to 1999, where they studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, earning a Cambridge GCE Advanced Levels. Chris started their educational journey in the sciences at St Joseph's Convent San Fernando from 1991 to 1996.

Furthermore, Chris Ragbir obtained a certification in Lean Awareness from OEE Training in October 2015.
