Chen Lin is the current CEO at TouTiao. Prior to this, they worked as a Globalization Manager at King from August 2015 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for initiating, managing, and improving the localization, LQA, culturalization, and internationalization process for mobile game projects that were in 11 to 22 languages. Chen also coordinated between multiple functions to facilitate the game production process and worked closely with teams of art, design, development, marketing, operation, data analysis, finance, etc. Additionally, they managed multiple external language service providers and continuously monitored translation quality.
Before their time at King, Chen Lin worked as a Localization Engineer at KongZhong Corp. from January 2013 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for localizing the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 into Chinese. Chen also coordinated between the local operation team and game producer ArenaNet and assessed production timelines to make corresponding localization plans. Additionally, they took charge of in-game audio dubbing and managed the dubbing process to ensure high quality.
Chen Lin began their career as an English Translator at Gameloft from November 2010 to April 2012.
Chen Lin has a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from Hunan University of Science and Technology. Chen also has a French Studies degree from Alliance Francaise de Shanghai. Chen has also completed a course in Game Art Basic from Forsbergs Skola. Chen is certified as a Localization Project Manager from the Localization Institute.
