Yichen "Daniel" Lu is a skilled semiconductor and materials engineer with extensive experience in process engineering and development. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer 2 at Tower Semiconductor since February 2022, Yichen oversees multiple vertical furnaces and is involved in developing new manufacturing processes and improving fab metrics through collaboration with various engineering teams. Prior to this role, Yichen worked at DiCon Fiberoptics as a Process Engineer, where responsibilities included developing waveguide optical amplifiers and optimizing photolithography processes. At the University of California, San Diego, Yichen completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering, contributing to research in graphene-based technologies and training new graduate students. Academic experience is complemented by roles at the Singh Center of Nanotechnology and the University of Pennsylvania, where Yichen focused on cleanroom training and innovative biosensor development.
