ToyScope connects complex toy safety rules and real childhood play. As an academic, researcher and educator with expertise in playful learning and special education, I offer practical advice to balance protecting children from harm and supporting their need to explore and grow.

Available services:
- plain-language toy safety training for schools and nurseries
- hands-on workshops for therapists and practitioners
- free video guides for parents and caregivers
- local community sessions on toy safety
Coming in Summer 2025: personal help for families overwhelmed by toys

A different approach to toy safety:
Most safety advice just lists what to avoid. I believe children need appropriate challenges to develop confidence and skills. The same toy that helps one child might not work for another - your guidance should be just as unique as the children you support.

My background brings together:
- child development across ages, abilities and neurodiversity
- detailed safety regulations in simple and practical words
- respect for real, functional spaces (not picture-perfect showrooms)

I want to see children exploring and growing through play that challenges them just enough, guided by adults who feel confident making safety decisions.
