Derren Stroud

Derren Stroud is the current Chief Financial Officer at TP Group. Prior to this, they worked as the Group Financial Controller at IAC Acoustics from October 2012 to January 2016.

IAC Acoustics is a leading global hi-tech engineering business in the acoustic noise sector. The business exports to more than 50 countries and has manufacturing plants in Australia, China, Denmark, France, the UK and the US. Revenues and EBITDA are in excess of £140m and £20m respectively. The business was acquired by AEA investors, a global private equity house in May 2012. Two North American bolt-on acquisitions were concluded in the later part of 2012 and the Group was refinanced in 2013 to support further acquisition activity and an organisational restructuring including:

a) The overhaul of the company's manufacturing network with a view to improving supply chain efficiency, lead times and customer service.

b) Investment in the management information systems.

c) Investment in key growth markets in Asia, Middle East and South America.

As Group Financial Controller, Derren was responsible for corporate reporting internally, to stakeholders and the banks; commercial, financial and business partnering support to the UK, Middle East and Africa operations team; relationship management with banks, auditors, shareholders and tax advisors; M&A activity; development and management of treasury / cash management processes and structures for the Group; management of budget and forecast processes; implementation and monitoring of Group procedures and controls; and tax and audit management.

During their time at IAC Acoustics, Derren was responsible for the successful conclusion and integration of the two North American bolt-on acquisitions, as well as the implementation of a global consolidation and management information tool. Derren also reorganised the global finance team.

Derren Stroud's educational career began at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Derren then attended Sir William Borlase Grammar School Marlow before going on to study accounting and business economics at Southampton University, where they achieved a BSc Joint Honours degree.
