Joann Smith

Joann Smith, MBA, has over two decades of experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as the Assistant Controller at TP ICAP since June 2001. In this role, Joann manages a team responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, while also assisting with month and year-end closing processes to ensure compliance with GAAP. Joann prepares monthly financial packs, financial statements, and audit schedules, contributing significantly to the financial reporting and analysis functions of the company. Prior to TP ICAP, Joann worked as a Senior Accountant at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP from January 1999 to May 2001, where responsibilities included managing a team focused on accounts payable and general ledger functions, preparing various financial reports, and supporting budgeting and auditing efforts. Joann holds an MBA in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Queens College.
