Tom Springbett

Tom Springbett is an experienced compliance and policy professional with a robust background in financial regulation and economic analysis. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance Advisory at TP ICAP since September 2022, Tom previously held multiple managerial positions at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), focusing on wholesale broker supervision, equity exchange supervision, trading and post-trade policy, and leading the FCA's policy response to derivatives reform in the wake of the financial crisis. Prior experience includes work as a UK Economist at the European Commission, conducting economic analysis and forecasts, and various roles at HM Treasury, where responsibilities included overseeing asset management and retail financial services policy. Tom holds a degree in Economics with French from Durham University, completed in 2003.
