Joel Thickins

Joel Thickins is an experienced investment professional currently serving as Managing Partner, Asia at TPG since October 2016, with additional responsibilities as Head of Australia and New Zealand. Previous roles include Chairman of the Board at Novotech from October 2017 to June 2021, and Board Member positions at Greencross Vets and Inghams Group Limited. Joel's extensive experience in private equity is highlighted by a directorship at CHAMP Private Equity, where responsibilities included originating and executing leverage buyout transactions. Joel has also served on the Board of Accolade Wines, contributing to one of the world's largest wine companies. Prior to these roles, Joel held leadership positions at Dyno Nobel and Boral, focusing on acquisitions and corporate development, respectively. Joel holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce from Point Loma Nazarene University.
