Matt Allessio

Matt Allessio is the Head of Growth & Rise Operations at TPG. Matt has over fifteen years of experience in private equity, strategy consulting, and investment banking.

Allessio began their career as an analyst at Harris Williams & Co., where they worked for three years before becoming an associate at Weston Presidio. In 2009, they joined Kurt Salmon as a senior manager in the Private Equity & Strategy practice. In 2014, they moved to A.T. Kearney, where they served as a principal in the Private Equity practice for two years.

During their time in the private equity industry, Allessio has advised a number of funds and corporations on due diligence and strategic investments in the consumer-retail space. Matt has also worked with senior executives at private equity funds and corporations, including CEOs, COOs, SVPs, and Boards of Directors at both publicly traded and middle-market companies.

Allessio has a deep understanding of financial/LBO modeling, valuation analysis, multivariable regression analysis, market research and sizing, industry interviews, and consumer segmentation and research (surveys and focus groups). Matt is a skilled presenter and communicator, able to clearly articulate findings and recommendations to clients at all levels.

Matt Allessio has a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management with concentrations in strategy, finance and accounting. Matt also has a BA from Stanford University in economics and international relations.
