Wes Merrill

Wes Merrill has a wealth of experience in product design, marketing, and strategy. Wes began their career in 2014 as the Founder and Digital Marketing Strategist for ThoughtTop, where they created innovative whiteboards to enhance productivity. In 2015, they became the Co-Founder and Product Lead & Designer for Streamweaver Inc., where they grew the user base from zero to 150 users within three months and saved the company over $5k in social media advertising costs. That same year, they also took on the role of Digital Marketing Intern at BraceAbility.com and Research Assistant at the University of Northern Iowa Business, Growth and Innovation Center. In 2018, they became the Marketing Manager & Front-End Designer at Imagetek, Inc. and in 2019, they took on the role of UI/UX Designer at IMT Insurance. In 2021, they joined Buxton as the Lead Product Designer and Senior Product Designer. Most recently, in 2022, they were hired as the Senior Product Designer at Traackr.

Wes Merrill obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa in 2016. Wes also attended Startup Weekend Cedar Rapids in 2014, Startup Weekend Cedar Falls in 2015, and the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute in 2014. In December 2020, they received a UI/UX Designer Certification from the Nielsen Norman Group.
