Alan Chou, P.Eng. M.ASc, is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a strong focus on large civil infrastructure and barrier systems. They have notable expertise in the design and construction of tailings dams and landfills, with extensive experience in liner systems comprising over 1,000,000 sq.m. of geosynthetics projects. Alan holds a Master of Applied Science in Geo-Environmental Engineering from Queen's University, where they contributed to research on piping erosion in geomembrane defects, resulting in a publication in the Canadian Geotechnical Journal as the leading author. Currently, Alan is an active reviewer for the journal Geotextiles and Geomembranes and remains involved with several professional organizations, including the IGS and the Canadian Geotechnical Society.
