Michael Smith

Michael Smith has a diverse range of work experience. Michael started their career as a Team Leader in the US Army, managing groups of up to 15 personnel and setting high standards of professional conduct. Michael then moved on to become a Project Manager, where they planned, managed, and monitored projects within the organization. Michael published over 300 operations orders and had a high proficiency with computer systems and communication. Later, they became a Scout Platoon Leader and Tank Platoon Leader, responsible for the health and welfare of subordinates and millions of dollars' worth of equipment. Michael utilized project management principles to complete over 150 projects and was trusted with classified weapons and materials. Michael also worked as a Commodity Manager at Emerson, managing a third of the company's machined parts supply base in North America and providing significant savings. Additionally, they worked as a Military Trainer Team Lead in the US Army, leading a team of senior non-commissioned officers in training soldiers for deployment overseas. Currently, they are working as a Sr Supply Chain/Office Lead at Trace Genomics.

Michael Smith earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Michael further pursued their education and completed a Master's Degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their academic achievements, Michael also obtained a certification titled "From the Laboratory to Leadership" from The Leadership Edge in October 2022.
