Tory Thompson

VP, Construction & Operations at Trace Midstream

Tory Thompson is the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Trace Midstream. As SVP of Engineering and Operations, Tory is responsible for all aspects of project execution including engineering, HSER, construction, and operations. Tory brings 20 years of midstream engineering, operations, and construction experience to Trace.

Before Trace, Tory spent 12 years working for Southwestern Energy Company. He joined Southwestern Energy in 2005 as a Facilities Engineer and was instrumental in the engineering, construction, and operations of the Fayetteville Shale gathering system, which grew to approximately 2,000 miles of pipe and over 500,000 horsepower of compression. In 2013, Tory became the Director of Appalachian Midstream for Southwestern Energy and was responsible for the buildout and operation of several systems in Northeast Pennsylvania. In his most recent role, General Manager of Midstream Operations Services, Tory was responsible for the Fayetteville gathering system, as well as overseeing multiple engineering/construction projects in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Previously, Tory worked in various operational and engineering roles at Blackmer, Oneok and Enbridge.

Tory Received a B.S. in Engineering Technology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
