Janis Vavere

Janis Vavere has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Janis currently serves as the CEO and co-founder of Trace.Space since November 2022. Before that, they were the Head of Global Sales at Lokalise, where they played a pivotal role in scaling the company from $2M to $20M+ ARR and expanding the sales organization from 6 to 100+ people. During their tenure, they contributed to over 200 enterprise contracts, generating $8M+ in revenue.

Prior to that, Janis worked at Jama Software, starting as the first European employee and eventually becoming an Enterprise Account Manager/Customer Success role. Janis played a crucial role in establishing the company's presence in Europe, building a 20-person customer-facing team, and transitioning more than 100 customers to direct account management. Jama Software's ARR grew from $15m to $40m during this time.

Earlier in their career, Janis was an IT Consultant and Business Process Analyst at AA Projekts, a Research Intern at The Health-Science Alliance and GGD Hollands Midden, and a Laboratory Assistant at the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy. Janis also briefly worked as a Project Coordinator at AA Projekts.

Janis Vavere has a diverse education background. Janis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Latvijas Universitate in 2012. Janis then pursued two Master's Degrees, one in Information Science/Studies from the University of Amsterdam from 2014 to 2016, and another in Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences (MPA) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2012 to 2016.

In terms of their secondary education, Janis attended Riga State Gymnasium No 1 from 2003 to 2009, where they completed their General Secondary Education with a focus on Science and Economics.

Janis Vavere also holds a certification in Command of the Message from Force Management, obtained in 2019.
