Rowan Johnson

Rowan Johnson has worked at TraceLink since 2017, starting as a Software Development Intern. In this role, they built a proof-of-concept website using the Vue framework and developed a 'developer wizard' IntelliJ plugin. The website demonstrated the potential viability of Vue UI technologies, while the plugin helped onboard new developers to the company's legacy systems.

In 2018, Rowan became a Software Development Intern again, working on the Network Applications team. During this time, they extended existing developer tools, improved the security and functionality of microservices, and gained experience in creating and maintaining microservices.

In 2019, Rowan transitioned to a full-time position as a Software Engineer I at TraceLink. Rowan focused on developing and improving the resiliency and data integrity of a Java VRS microservice, following the GS1 industry standard for cross-company pharmaceutical safety verifications. Additionally, they developed the Opus Development Environment, built in RxJava, which empowered other TraceLink engineers to create apps, model data, and deploy code to the Opus platform.

In 2021, Rowan took on the role of Scrum Master and developer for a new JavaScript-based Digital Recalls application. This application aimed to digitalize and streamline the FDA medical recalls process.
