Ted MacOmber

Ted Macomber has extensive work experience in software architecture and engineering. Ted started their career at Digital Equipment Corporation, where they contributed to leading expert systems and pioneered the use of Message Oriented Middleware and Service Oriented Architecture.

Ted then joined Enterprise Knowledge Systems, where they worked on distributed systems and helped port a communications and database layer to Unix.

Ted later joined Altaworks Corporation as the lead architect of Panorama's Application Performance Management Server. Ted wrote the high-level design and managed a development team.

After that, they worked at OPNET Technologies, Inc., where they held various roles, including Vice President of AppInternals Xpert and Associate VP of Engineering for Panorama Architecture & Scalability. Ted worked closely with senior management and led projects to improve the product and reduce the customer's total cost of ownership.

Next, Ted worked at Riverbed Technology as the Senior Director of Engineering for SteelCentral AppInternals. Ted directed engineering efforts to improve scalability.

Ted then joined Staples as a Software Architect for eCommerce, where they played a key role in building the digital experience for the company's Membership Programs.

Currently, Ted is working at TraceLink as the Director of Application Architecture. Ted has designed and delivered multiple applications for TraceLink's Opus Multi-Enterprise Application Platform, enabling digital transformation in the Cell and Gene Therapy domain.

Ted Macomber holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Utica College of Syracuse University. In addition, Ted has also obtained several certifications, including "Amazon Web Services Essential Training", "Hadoop Fundamentals", and "NoSQL for SQL Professionals" from lynda.com in the year 2015.
