Subha Tarafdar

Subha Tarafdar has over two decades of work experience in the software industry.

From 1997 to 2000, Tarafdar worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Mastech Corp (now iGate), where they were involved in the design and development of software applications for the transportation industry.

In 2000, Tarafdar joined Rand McNally as a Senior Software Design Engineer. They played a key role in building the new randmcnally.com site from scratch, focusing on the design and development of core modules for the online store and online mapping and routing tools. They later took on the role of Manager - Internet Division, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the website.

In 2004, Tarafdar transitioned to TrackAbout, Inc as the Chief Software Architect. They were hired early on in the company's formation and played a crucial role in the architecture, design, and development of the cloud-based SaaS offering for tracking and managing portable assets. Reporting to the CTO, Tarafdar contributed to the application's development since its inception, working towards the company's expansion into 25 countries and the support of 15 languages.

Subha Tarafdar holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including "Managing the Organization," "Designing the Organization," "Applications of Everyday Leadership," and "Foundations of Everyday Leadership," which were all completed through Coursera Course Certificates.
