David Skwerer

Chief Operating Officer at TrackX Technology

David Skwerer has held various positions in the engineering and technology industries since 2007. David began their career as a Research Assistant at the UNC Chapel Hill Fluids Laboratory, where they assisted Principal Investigators and a post-doctoral candidate in performing research and data analysis, with a focus on the Hele-Shaw project. In 2010, they worked on two Research Projects at the University of North Carolina, and completed a Senior Design Project, during which they developed and produced a packaging supply system specifically designed for and implemented by factory workers with cerebral palsy. In 2011, they worked as an Advanced Engineer at bioMerieux, where they developed a diagnostic imaging system that uses light from the visible spectrum to determine bacterial growth in a multi-well petri dish. David then worked as a Product Manager at SAFERAY SPINE, LLC from 2012 to 2016, where they helped drive the LessRay medical device from concept to over $2 million in sales prior to being acquired by NuVasive, INC. In 2016, they took on the role of Senior Lead Project Manager at NuVasive, and in 2017 they became Chief Operating Officer and Director of Product Development at TrackX Technology, Inc.

David Skwerer obtained a Masters of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in 2011, following their Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2006 and 2010.
