Marcel Matthijs

Marcel Matthijs has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marcel is currently serving as the Co-founder and CTO of TradeCloud - Supply Chain Platform since August 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Architect at ProRail from August 2012 to September 2013. Marcel also worked as a Freelance Software Architect at Architectopia B.V. from September 2006 to September 2013, where they were involved in various projects with different organizations such as ProRail, TNT Post Parcel Service, Mcom, Dutch Statistics Office, and Paralax B.V. Marcel served as a Software Engineer at Digital Earth B.V. from January 2011 to August 2012 and also worked as an IT Architect at TNT Post Pakketservice in 2010. Marcel started their career as an Owner, Software Architect, and Senior Software Engineer at MVSD from January 2003 to September 2006. Before that, they worked as the Owner and Software Engineer at Matthijs & de Voogd from June 1998 to January 2003. Marcel initially began their career as a Software Engineer at C.T.G. Nederland B.V. from October 1995 to June 1998.

Marcel Matthijs began their education in 1987 at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a degree in Technische Computerkunde. Marcel completed their studies at Fontys University in 1992, obtaining the degree of "Ing." Afterward, they enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1992 and remained there until 1995. At Erasmus University, Marcel focused on Bestuurlijke Informatica as their field of study, although they did not obtain a specific degree during this period.
