Baris Akyurek has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.
Baris started their career at Veltronix Inc. in 2003 as an Operations Analyst, where they worked until 2005. Baris then moved on to Strategic Quantitative Solutions, where they served as an Analyst in Forecasting and Modeling from 2009 to 2010.
In 2011, Baris worked as a Business Analyst (contract) at Retalon Inc., followed by a role as a Researcher (contract) at Schulich School of Business. During the same year, they also worked as an Analytics Strategist at Twist Image (now Mirum Agency).
In 2012, Baris joined Klick Health as a Senior Analyst in Analytics, a role they held until 2014.
Baris's career took another turn in 2014 when they joined AutoTrader.ca. Baris started as a Senior Manager in Digital Analytics and worked in that role until 2017 when they were promoted to Director of Analytics. In 2023, they further advanced to the position of Vice President of Insights & Intelligence, which they currently hold.
Baris also had a role outside of their primary employment at the Digital Analytics Association. From 2017 to 2021, they served as Co-Chair of the Toronto Chapter.

Baris Akyurek has an extensive education history. Baris obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy and Financial Accounting from York University - Schulich School of Business, graduating in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Commerce at the University of Toronto Mississauga in 2006. Additionally, Baris Akyurek holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Kocaeli University, which they earned from 1996 to 2002.
In terms of additional certifications, Baris Akyurek has obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) from Google in December 2015. Baris also obtained the Google Analytics Tag Manager certification from Click Insight in October 2015.
