Mark O'Brien

Mark O'Brien has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.

Mark began their career at Karcher Canada Inc as a Sales Executive from August 1992 to January 1994.

Mark then worked at Purolator Courier as a National Account Executive from March 1994 to February 1998, and later became a Regional Sales Manager at the same company from February 1998 to July 1999.

Following this, they joined Progistix Solutions Inc as the Director of Business Development from March 1998 to July 1999.

From June 2000 to October 2001, O'Brien served as the Director of Sales at Veredex Logistics, where they secured numerous accounts and facilitated significant venture capital funding.

Mark then joined Purolator Courier Ltd as a Manager of National Accounts from October 2001 to July 2003, and later became the Director of Sales at the same company from July 2003 to February 2007.

O'Brien's next role was with Trader Corporation, where they held various positions including Director of Media Sales, General Manager of Ontario and Western Canada, and Vice-President of Sales, Canada. Mark led a significant sales force transformation and achieved notable revenue growth. Mark'stenure at Trader Corporation lasted from February 2007 to February 2012.

Mark then became the Vice-President and General Manager at ComFree Commonsense Network Brokerage from August 2012 to August 2013.

Afterward, O'Brien joined Dealertrack as the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing from January 2014 to April 2018. Mark was responsible for all sales, service, and marketing activities related to automotive dealers in Canada.

Most recently, they have taken on the role of Vice-President of Sales, Western Canada, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada at autoTRADER.ca since June 2021.

Throughout their career, O'Brien has demonstrated expertise in sales, business development, and leadership, achieving significant accomplishments and driving growth in various organizations.

Mark O'Brien attended Carlow Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing. In 2006 to 2007, they attended Schulich School of Business - York University, where they pursued the Leaders Edge program focusing on Business Administration and Management.
