Neil Uppal

Neil Uppal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Neil most recently worked at AutoTrader.ca, starting in February 2022 as a Sr. Technical Product Manager and later transitioning to the role of Associate Director, Engineering in January 2023.

Prior to that, Neil worked at Cineplex Digital Media for nearly 8 years, starting in April 2014. Neil began as an Application Developer, focusing on developing consumer-facing interactive applications, mobile applications, and internal monitoring tools. Neil then advanced to the position of Manager, Software Development in February 2017, where they led the Digital Out of Home software development team and focused on new product solutions and programmatic integrations.

Before joining Cineplex, Neil worked at Mosaic Sales Solutions, starting in June 2006. Neil held various roles including Technical Specialist, On-Site Support Team Lead, and Software Developer.

Additionally, Neil has prior experience as a drummer at "Dear Jane, I..." from 2003 to 2007.

Neil Uppal completed their formal education with a degree in Computer Programmer Analyst from George Brown College, where they attended from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Science at the University of Toronto from 2003 to 2006. Their secondary education took place at John Cabot Catholic Secondary School, although it is unclear when they attended or what specific field of study they focused on during this period. Additionally, Neil Uppal obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in May 2021.
