Vishnu Venugopal

Vishnu Venugopal has a diverse work experience in the software testing field. Vishnu started their career as a Test Engineer at PIT Solutions from May 2013 to April 2017, where they designed test cases, verified and validated web-based applications, and performed end-to-end testing. Vishnu then joined Allianz in April 2017 and served as a Senior Test Engineer until September 2019. In this role, they conducted cross-browser testing, created BEHAT test scenarios, and executed test cases based on business requirements. From October 2019 to September 2021, Vishnu worked as a Test Specialist at Allianz. During this time, they developed automation scripts using Selenium-Java with TestNG, automated REST services with Rest Assured/TestNG framework, and created and executed SQL queries in HP-ALM. Vishnu was promoted to Lead Test Engineer at Allianz in October 2021 and held this position until January 2023. In this role, they developed integration, component, and end-to-end tests using the Cypress Automation tool, handled back-end XHR automation with mock responses using Cypress, and developed a page object framework using Cypress components and features. Vishnu is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer in Test at AutoTrader.ca from April 2023.

Vishnu Venugopal completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degree, they also obtained various certifications over the years. In November 2015, they achieved the ISTQB Foundation Level certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. In August 2017, they obtained the Agile Tester Extension certification, also from ISTQB. Vishnu further enhanced their skills by completing the Learning Java 8 certification from LinkedIn in August 2019. In December 2019, they achieved the ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst certification from the ISTQB. Most recently, in July 2020, Vishnu obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
