Machine Learning Engineer Ll at TradeStation

Jorge Castro's work experience begins in 2014 as a Researcher on Digital Signal Processing at Universidad de Costa Rica. In 2015, they worked as a Collaborator at Nativeka and also became a Piano Teacher at Academia de Arte Moderno. In 2016, they joined CeNAT as a Research Scientist and held that position until 2021. During their time at CeNAT, they also became a Professor at Tecnológico de Costa Rica in 2019. Currently, they are a Machine Learning Engineer ll at TradeStation, starting in 2021.

Jorge Castro completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Informatics from the same university from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Jorge has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed the "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization" certification from Coursera. In the same year, they also completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" certification from the same platform.

In 2018, Jorge completed the "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Convolutional Neural Networks," and "Sequence Models" certifications from Coursera. Jorge also completed the "Deep Learning Specialization" certification in the same year.

In 2019, Jorge completed the "Data Science in Real Life" certification from Coursera. In 2021, they obtained the "Sequences, Time Series and Prediction" certification from the same platform.

In 2022, Jorge completed the "Machine Learning Data Lifecycle in Production," "Introduction to Machine Learning in Production," and "Machine Learning Modeling Pipelines in Production" certifications from Coursera.

Most recently, in 2023, Jorge obtained the "Deploying Machine Learning Models in Production" certification from Coursera as well as the "Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals" certification from Databricks.
