Caius Howcroft has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Caius started their career as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Caltech, where they worked on various projects related to neutrino experiments and managed research groups. Caius then joined Princeton Consultants as a Senior Consultant, where they designed and implemented cloud platforms for financial research clients. At Bloomberg LP, Caius led the Cloud Infrastructure team and played a key role in designing and building the company's private cloud. Later, at Citadel, they built and managed the Platform Technology function, which consisted of five components used by various departments within the company. Currently, Caius is the Managing Director of Global Head of Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Data Technology at Tradeweb, where they oversee platform engineering functions and is responsible for initiatives like cloud engineering and devops tooling.
Caius Howcroft completed a BA/MSci degree in Physics (Natural Sci) from the University of Cambridge from 1996 to 2000. Caius then pursued a PhD in Particle Physics at the University of Cambridge from 2001 to 2004.
