Elize Stander

Software Tester at Traffic Technology Services Inc.

Elize Stander has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Elize began their career as a Secretary at Stellenpak Ltd from March 1994 to May 1997. Following this, they worked at Sappi from September 2000 to August 2004, where they served as a Database Assistant. Their responsibilities included writing software for handheld devices and training users for electronic data capture. Elize also enhanced and maintained data integrity for research and PSP databases.

In 2005, Elize joined Dept Fisheries and Wildlife, OSU as a Database Consultant, where they contributed to the creation and restructuring of research databases. Elize provided SQL queries to extract necessary information.

From January 2006 to December 2009, Elize worked at Trimble Navigation as a Test Engineer. In this role, they wrote and executed test plans for survey software applications and created automated regression testing scripts using various programming languages.

Most recently, Elize joined Traffic Technology Services Inc. in June 2017 as a Software Tester. Their responsibilities include creating manual and automated tests, primarily for web APIs, and reporting the results in Jira. Elize collaborates closely with developers to troubleshoot C# issues.

Elize Stander completed a BSc in Computer Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a BA degree in English, Afrikaans en Nederlands, and Psychology from Stellenbosch University in 1991. In addition to their formal education, Elize Stander has obtained several certifications related to Ruby on Rails and web development, including "Ruby on Rails Web Services and Integration with MongoDB" from Coursera in April 2017, "Rails with Active Record and Action Pack" from Coursera Course Certificates in November 2016, and "Ruby on Rails: An Introduction" from Coursera Course Certificates in October 2016.
