James Linnett

James Linnett has a diverse work experience in the field of business intelligence and analytics. James has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current role as Head of Business Intelligence at Trainline since October 2022. Prior to that, they were the Business Intelligence Team Lead at Trainline from September 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining Trainline, James worked as the Business Intelligence Lead at Gymshark from March 2021 to September 2021. James also worked as a BI Consultant at Kellogg Company from May 2020 to March 2021 and at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays from October 2018 to March 2020.

James has also gained valuable experience at other companies such as National Grid, where they served as an Analytics Development Lead from October 2016 to September 2018, and Office Depot, where they worked as a Senior Commercial Analyst from June 2015 to October 2016.

Prior to that, James held positions at easyJet as a CRM Campaign Analyst from August 2014 to June 2015, at Next as a Fraud Analyst from September 2013 to August 2014, at British Gas Business as an Insight Analyst from August 2012 to September 2013, and at AXA PPP healthcare as a Business Analyst from November 2008 to October 2011.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated expertise in data visualization, SQL, Tableau, and conducting statistical analysis. James'swork has helped businesses improve decision-making, reduce costs, and identify growth opportunities.

James Linnett completed their GCSE's from Hamilton Community College (Leicester) between 1997 and 2002. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications including a Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate Certification from Tableau Software in February 2020, DAT207x: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI from Microsoft in February 2019, M001: MongoDB basics from MongoDB in October 2018, and Tableau Desktop 9 Qualified Associate from Tableau Software in July 2016.
