Joe Smith

Joe Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Joe is currently the Director of Data Science at Trainline, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Data Science Manager at WhatsApp from March 2021 to March 2022. Before that, they held positions at Facebook, starting as a Data Scientist from April 2017 to September 2019, and then as a Data Science Manager from September 2019 to March 2021. Joe also worked as a Data Scientist at Dojo App from June 2016 to March 2017 and as the Head of Business Intelligence at Visual Meta GmbH from January 2015 to June 2016. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Google Analytics Specialist and a Product Analyst at Betfair from January 2014 to December 2014, a Digital Marketing Manager and Web Analyst at TVF Digital from April 2013 to September 2013, a Digital Marketing Analyst at Clifton Hotels Ltd from October 2011 to August 2012, and as a Business Analyst at RWE npower from June 2011 to August 2011. Additionally, they had the opportunity to be an Expedition Member on Robert Swan's 2041 Voyage for Cleaner Energy in 2009.

Joe Smith attended Sir John Deane's College from 2006 to 2008, where they completed their A Level in Economics, Maths, and Physics with grades A/A/A. Joe then went on to attend the University of Bristol from 2008 to 2011, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics.
