Peter Coward

Peter Coward is a seasoned data engineer with extensive experience in big data technologies. Currently serving as a Principal Data Engineer at Trainline since June 2019, Peter specializes in building real-time big data processing applications using Scala and Kafka. Previously, at comparethemarket.com from July 2015 to May 2019, Peter held roles such as Senior Data Engineer and Big Data Developer, focusing on data streaming applications with Scala, Spark, and Kafka within AWS infrastructure, as well as working with an Apache Hadoop/Spark ecosystem. Peter's early career includes roles at QA Consulting and BGL Group, where experience with Hadoop technologies and database management was gained. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Games Technology from Kingston University and has completed A Levels in Computing, Maths, and Further Maths.
