Toby Webb

Toby Webb currently serves as the Senior Principal Engineer of Geospatial Data at Trainline since July 2023. Prior to this role, Toby founded Signalbox in 2016 and held the position until July 2023. Toby has experience as a Senior Data Scientist at Valerann from 2019 to 2021, and worked as a Technical Advisor at Tekmon Geomatics from May 2015 to March 2019. Additionally, Toby was a Technical Manager at ThinkInnovate from 2015 to 2016 and served as the Technical Lead at Redrawn from 2011 to 2013, where development of a customer-business linking algorithm was undertaken. Toby's early career included a role as a University Teaching Assistant at University College London, and participation in consultancy projects focusing on satellite navigation systems. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Navigation and Positioning from University College London, a Master's Degree in Space Technology and Planetary Exploration from the University of Surrey, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Warwick.
