Trainor Jim Ltd is the team behind The SHUFFLER®, an award-winning, patented and portable seated exercise device co-designed with Dr Jim Kelly, an NHS GP with over 25 years of experience in musculoskeletal medicine and health entrepreneur Lee Trainor, whose own experience with spinal stenosis inspired the original design.

The SHUFFLER® was developed to make movement simple and accessible for people who spend long periods seated. By enabling gentle lower-limb movement from the comfort of a chair, The SHUFFLER® supports mobility, circulation and balance through regular, consistent activity.

It is used by older adults, wheelchair users, care home residents and people within rehabilitation settings as a practical way to introduce gentle, consistent daily movement into everyday life. The SHUFFLER® is equally suited to anyone who spends long periods seated, whether through limited mobility, the nature of their work, or simply the routines of daily life.

The SHUFFLER® has been used within care home movement programmes featured in the Care England white paper From Inactivity to Independence (February 2026), which highlights the role that structured, seated movement can play in supporting mobility and reducing falls risk in adult social care settings.
