Galen Alleger has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Galen started their career as a Lab Technician at OnTo Technology from November 2009 to August 2010. Galen then worked as a Reliability Engineer at IdaTech from 2011 to 2012, where they identified and resolved product failures and utilized Six-Sigma methodology. In 2011, they also worked as a self-employed 3D modeler at GGA Designs, handling project planning and integration design. Finally, from 2012 onwards, Galen worked as a Systems Engineer at Trainyard Tech, LLC, where they designed and implemented control systems for the Freight Rail Industry, involving hardware/software interfacing, project planning, personnel organization, and operator training. Galen also traveled to multiple concurrent projects.

Galen Alleger completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont from 2005 to 2009.
