Seth Proctor

Seth Proctor is the CEO and Founder of Tranquil Data, a company established in June 2018 focused on the responsible use of data. Prior to this venture, Seth Proctor explored data governance from June 2017 to May 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at NuoDB from January 2011 to March 2017, where contributions included developing a novel SQL database architecture. Seth Proctor began at NuoDB as the initial developer, collaborating with founder Jim Starkey. Additional roles include Senior Software Engineer at Nokia, contributing to a private cloud project, and a decade-long tenure at Sun Microsystems Laboratories, working on internet security technologies and media streaming server architecture. Seth Proctor earned a ScB in Computer Science from Brown University from 1995 to 1999 and completed high school at The Hotchkiss School from 1992 to 1995.
