Daniel Morais currently serves as the Director of North American Gas at TransAlta, where responsibilities include overseeing gas operations since October 2021. With over 23 years of experience in co-generation, Daniel has held various positions at TransAlta, including Cogeneration Operations Manager and Operational Integration Project Manager, managing multiple power plants and key projects in North America and Australia. Prior to TransAlta, Daniel was the Chief Engineer at Northland Power Inc., with experience dating back to 1998. Educational qualifications include a 3rd Class Power Engineer certification from Cambrian College and a 4th Class Power Engineer certification from Mohawk College.
